World Blood Donation Day is a significant event observed on June 14th each year to raise awareness about the importance of donating blood and to recognize the life-saving contributions made by voluntary blood donors. The College Union, in association with several organizations including CSI MKD Youth Movement Southern Region, Mallapuzhassery Gramavikasana Samithi, Punnakkad Community Centre, and Pushpagiri Medical College, has organized a blood donation drive on this day.
The event aims to encourage individuals to come forward and donate blood, emphasizing the critical need for an adequate and safe blood supply in healthcare systems. The College Union, in collaboration with the aforementioned organizations, has coordinated a comprehensive program to facilitate the donation process and ensure the smooth functioning of the event.
