The IQAC and Department of Psychology, CSI College for Advanced Studies, Punnakkad, in association with the Kerala Forum for United Nations Academic Impact and Vimukthi, Govt. of Kerala, organized a National Webinar on “Helping Clients with Addiction: Special Reference to Drug Addiction” on 26th October 2022 via Zoom.
The session was led by Dr. Dheeraj Kattula, MD Psychiatry (CMC Vellore), DM Addiction Psychiatry (AIIMS New Delhi), and Associate Professor, Department of Psychiatry, CMC Vellore. He shared deep insights into the psychological and social dimensions of drug addiction, evidence-based treatments, and the role of family and community in recovery.
The interactive webinar provided participants practical knowledge and strategies to support individuals battling addiction, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to mental health awareness and Sustainable Development Goals.
