National Service Scheme

National Service scheme is an initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Government of India. It aims at the wholistic development of students’ personalities through Community service. The motto of the National Service Scheme is Not Me but You Students will be given opportunities for Service-learning. An experiential learning
pedagogy is adopted which moves students beyond the classroom to make them active participants in their learning and to develop civic knowledge and skills.

The pedagogy is structured in a duration of 40 hours in which 30 hours will be for outreach activities and 10 hours for activities on the college campus.

UNAI

United Nations Academic Impact is an educational initiative of United Nations International. It is implemented through higher educational institutions all over the world. The UNAI chapter of the college aims to promote actively supporting and contributing to the realization of UN goals and mandates including the promotion and
protection of human rights, access to education, sustainability, and global citizenship.

The Chapter works in association with the Kerala Forum for United Nations Academic Impact. Students are sensitized to promote sustainable Development Goals through outreach programs, seminars, workshops, etc.

Nature club

Nature Club is a fraternity of students in the college, who have an intense passion for conservation of the nature. Through a structured program, the club provides a platform for the development of the personality of students through experiential learning of nature and natural phenomena.

Students are made to participate in eco-friendly developmental activities, organic farming, forestation, and the development and use of natural food for sustainable living.

Environment sensitization programs for the general public are organized in student initiatives and conducted in association with the local panchayath and units.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CLUB

The entrepreneurship development club in the college is an initiative of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Government of Kerala.

The EDC works to infuse creativity, innovation, and Entrepreneurship culture among the students. Workshops and hands-on training sessions will be constantly organized with external expertise for Skill and professional development of students.

The Sports Club of CSI College for Advanced Studies plays a vital role in promoting physical fitness, team spirit, and a healthy lifestyle among students. The club is dedicated to nurturing sporting talents and providing opportunities for students to excel in both indoor and outdoor games.

Objectives

Anti Narcotics

Substance abuse among youths has been increasing in an unprecedented nature these days. Anti Narcotic Club is an initiative of the Excise Department of the Government of Kerala.

The aim of this club is to create awareness among the students on the psycho-social and physical problems due to the use of dangerous substances.

Peer-level strategies are found to be more effective in curbing the menace of drug abuse.

Students conduct street plays and flash mobs in nearby towns and schools for creating awareness of the dangers of substance abuse.

Red Ribbon Club

Red Ribbon Club is an initiative of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India in educational institutions through which students are made aware of AIDS. The State AIDS Control Society supports the clubs at the state level. The RRC organizes awareness campaigns in the college and in the nearby villages. The volunteers engage themselves in distributing pamphlets regarding AIDS and the way for a way of healthy and sustainable living habits of tolerance for those affected with AIDS. RRC also organizes programs for harnessing the potential of the youth by equipping them with correct information on mental health, reproductive and sexual health, substance abuse, and building their capacities as peer educators.
